Our Farm
We began McIntyre Miniatures in 2007 with four horses. We have grown since then and now have horses from the top bloodlines in the country. Our farm is set on 10 acres in beautiful southwest Missouri. We're just minutes away from the Springfield Airport and just inside the Springfield city boundaries. Our farm is family owned and operates and given the utmost attention in every way. We have a gorgeous live-in barn that makes it easier during foaling season. We also give personal tours several times a week to both curious passer-byes and fellow mini owners. We are very excited for 2009--three of our extraordinary mares are in foal to our champion stallion!
My family is Scottish by heritage. When it came time to name our farm, we went back to our Scottish roots. The motto of the clan McIntyre, which can be seen on every coat of arms, is "per ardua". This means "through difficulties." My family has always dreamed of owning a miniature horse breeding farm and we had to go through some difficult times in order to finally get one. Now we've finally achieved our dream and we're 100% committed to producing outstanding horses that will improve and perfect the breed.
